Description
When Nike and Stussy collaborate, we tend to pay close attention. Over the past 20 years, the two have dreamt up some of the most coveted sneakers ever to hit the market, from 2001’s Dunk High to last month’s Spiridon Caged 2. When the latter was originally leaked late in 2019, the poster shared a few extra details, stating that the Spiridon Caged would not be the only silhouettes we see and that Stüssy would help introduce the new Spiridon KK. Now, a few months later, we have our first look at the updated early aughts running shoe. Almost identical to the Zoom Spiridon Caged in shape, the KK is constructed from a solid mesh upper and reinforced with an extensive spiderweb-like plastic cage stretching from heel to toe. The cage appears to replace any need for a lacing system, as pull tabs on the tongue and heel are placed for easy on/off action. Stüssy branding is found on the tongue and heels of the white pair seen here, while the second set in black is also set to release alongside. Additionally, while we have our first look at the Spiridon KK, the rumored four-set of Benassi slides from Stüssy and Nike have yet to be seen.
