Description
While free of any heat-sensitive or other experimental materials, New Balance‘s performance-runner is reimagined with Stone Island’s renowned high-quality. Seemingly inspired by a shared “understated innovation” ethos between the New Balance Tokyo Design Studio and Stone Island Product Research teams, the FullCell-cushioned sneaker predominantly indulges in an off-white color palette. Red branding introduces stark red contrast into the mix, with the boldest statement arriving in the form of each brands’ logos on a respective toe box, made visible by the upper’s exposed layering. Reminiscent of the New Balance 2002R “Refined Future” capsule that landed in August, the mixed-materials build across the pair’s top-half is stylized as “worn-and-torn” without sacrificing any performance benefits.
