Description
The Nike Dunk Low “Doernbecher” will be dropping next week and the silhouette was designed by 17-year-old Zoe Taaffe who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that’s extremely rare, only one in 1.2 million pediatric patients have it. With her dream of becoming a nurse, Zoe’s Dunk Low takes cues from her favorite collegiate team, the Oregon Ducks with the tones of green and yellow prominent on its upper. Additionally, the low-top bears a bold zebra print which features Zoe’s name cleverly hidden while it’s also a subtle nod to the stretch marks that the steroids created on Zoe’s body. Finishing touches consist of an Oregon Duck-inspired nursing symbol on the insoles, interchangeable Velcro Swooshes, and a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
