Description
The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” is dressed in a black leather upper with white overlays on the medial and later mudguard, as well as silver accents on the top two eyelets and the Jumpman branding on the lateral side. The tongue features a red Jumpman logo with “Two 3” stitched down the tongue and the Jordan tag utilized down on the heel tab. A white Phylon midsole with a red “23” appearing on the outsole heel. The Jordan 12 was also the first Air Jordan to feature Zoom Air which is a full-length setup. Additionally, a carbon fiber plate is utilized for rigidity and herringbone traction finish off the sneaker.
The Air Jordan 12 “Playoff” was originally released in 1997, with Michael Jordan wearing these in the 1997 NBA Playoffs run alongside the “Flu Game” colorway. MJ also had the Playoff 12s on when he hit the game-winner in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and the championship-clinching game in Game 6, which led to his 5th NBA title.
