Description
The footwear is based on the ever-popular New Balance 990v2 model, originally released in 1988 and reissued thereafter, with New Balance’s identity color, Grey, reinterpreted through the lens of WTAPS. Following the 992 model of the first collaboration, the embossed texture of the synthetic leather tongue, color straps and heel tabs have been arranged according to the details of the New Balance 998, a personal favorite of WTAPS designer Tetsu Nishiyama. The heel features an embroidered WTAPS logo and an embossed USA logo, while the special shoebox is symbolic of the exceptional collaboration.
In addition to the shoes, there will also be matching apparel that includes co-branded hoodies, sweatshirts, and a t-shirt.
