atmos is putting their twist on the popular New Balance 2002R with this subway-inspired colorway that takes on a versatile appearance. Dubbed the atmos x New Balance M2002RAT, the design incorporates gray-toned materials inspired by rats running through the streets of Shibuya, with blue accents used to represent the underground waterways. A pattern resembling a rat’s footprints is embossed on nubuck, and the texture of the fur is reproduced through the use of natural pony hair. Other materials, such as mesh for the toe area and smooth leather, are used to create an exclusive item with a classic look and design unique to the collaboration.
